If you use an ICF with plastic ties, you never can find a place to hang a picture from because a stud finder will work with Polysteel, but not the plastic tie forms.

These beams allow all structural beams to be flush in the floor system giving you longer spans and big holes for utilities to pass through the beam. You can use a GLULAM, but you can't put an 8 inch hole in it like you can with a Metwood beam.
